What are you reading?
Currently, I’m reading one of my new favorite authors, Darcy Coates. If you haven’t read one of her books and you like scary fiction, don’t walk–run–and buy one of her books. I’m pretty sure you’ll love it.
The Carrow Haunt is her newest.
“The dead are restless here…”
Carrow House has a long history of urban legends and hauntings. Remy is a tour guide for the house, and she’s tasked to host seven guests, who are researching Carrow’s past and present. Remy is hopeful that during the guests’ week-long stay, she too might experience something paranormal.
But when a storm cuts off their contact with the outside world, strange and supernatural occurrences begin.
If you like shows like A Haunting, Paranormal State, My Haunted House, etc., you are almost guaranteed to love this book. The creep-factor abounds, and aside from that, the book is cast with rich characters and a plausible and realistic story. Darcy Coates can write her tail off, and she does … just check out her catalogue of novels on Amazon.
I highly recommend this book. Most will probably devour it in a sitting.
Here are some other reads to consider picking up this week.
Description: The magicians of the empire are no longer able to have children and no one can provide a reason or cure.
Description: Find stories about a woman who fakes her death, an agent forced to hunt terrorists in his neighborhood, forensic evidence that threatens cops, mobsters who want her, a billionaire lost at sea, a blonde barracudas and more.
Have a great week, everyone!
