Z is for Zero

It’s the final day of the 2018 A to Z Blog Challenge. I can’t believe we’re at the end, but on the other hand, I’m relieved. It’s always tough keeping up with writing daily alphabetical blogs and reading others too. But I guess that’s why it’s called “a challenge.”

I must admit that I scrambled a little for this one. I had trouble thinking of a Z word that would fit my purposes. In the end, I decided to go with Zero because I’ve been thinking about those white-coated nougat bars I used to eat as a kid? Remember those? I used to like them better than Hershey’s.

Zero bars came into existence in 1920 at a candy company in Minnesota–a conglomeration of peanut and almond nougat covered with white fudge. Does anyone even make those any more? Well, apparently the answer to that is yes. And you can buy them at Walmart. Or you can buy them in bulk at Candy Warehouse for $30.00 a box.

Do you like Zero bars?

Thanks for reading and sticking with me through the 2018 Blog Challenge!
